In-Line EM NDE pushes the limits of defect detection during manufacture, at a stage when they can be remedied before installation and sale, saving time and material waste in additive manufacturing processes.

We aim to demonstrate this on a layer-by-layer metal additive weld inspection during the build, gaining an understanding of what is needed to achieve 100% quality assurance on parts during manufacture, delivering Industry 4.0.
